Dining with a difference

I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit various states and places throughout India, but I had never visited Pune before. I got a chance to visit Pune on the last day, just for a one-day trip. I adored the place; it shares similarities with Kerala – lush green, cool, and less polluted. Interestingly, Kerala is currently experiencing hot weather, with temperatures reaching up to 36°C, even during the rainy season.

One impressive aspect I noticed is that Pune is actively working to preserve its trees and maintain the city’s greenery. The road development has been carried out while prioritizing the preservation of green spaces, and I truly loved that.

However, the airport is quite old, and its facilities are limited. Fortunately, I had the privilege of staying at Hotel Pride Pune, which has a charming vintage concept. The hotel is well-maintained and boasts an excellent ambiance.

I’m writing this note to highlight the restaurant where I dined. The Pride Hotel features two restaurants. One has a modern vibe, while the other has a vintage setting, reminiscent of a Punjabi dhaba. The ambiance, arrangements, and overall atmosphere create a unique dining experience.

The entrance is adorned with beautiful decorations, and the dining tables have a raw wood finish. The table mats are made with grass, the walls are bamboo, and the plates are all crafted from copper. Even the vessels used are made of copper. The overall arrangements, the dishes, and the inclusion of live light music all come together to create an incredible dining experience.
