Astermims calicut EmergencyMedicine department has attained the status of India’s first with Point of care Covid Screening test facility (Truenaat) the molecular biology unit manned 100 percent by Emergency staff and doctors 🥼.

It has worked well . In the present scenario, the entire Acute care area designated as Isolation and our procedure room designated as true nat lab. Truenat is very useful and will get results within 1.30 hours. Once results are there , we can plan the ed disposition more accurately in terms of further isolation or non- isolation. It is very useful in ed death scenario as well .
